I was lucky enough to get an early birthday present and had an afternoon photography workshop at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite. Even with all of the incredible landscapes in every direction we took a break and decided to look at patterns in basswood leaves.
Another photo that I thought was interesting. I believe it is a Rocky Mountain Locust but I am by no means an insect expert. I thought it was interesting how he (or she) decided to hang out on an old rusty post which looks like it was painted to match.
It is hard to describe just how big the Sequoia trees really are….and photos just don’t do them justice. They are so majestic and add so much to our world that they need a big ol’ hug as a sign of our gratitude. I guess we are tree huggers both literally and figuratively.
